I will be unavailable for posting for a few days. My grandfather passed away Thursday night after a lengthy battle with cancer. (The above is a picture of him from many years ago - he looks spot on for my own father.) Of course his passing is saddening, but he was a proud man and it was difficult to watch him suffer. I'll spend the next few days with my family sharing our favorite memories.

Sorry for your loss Angie. I had a grandfather pass away from cancer also. Very painful to see him like that. My Prayers go out to you and your family.
He DOES look just like your dad. If you hadn't have written anything, I would have thought that your grandpa WAS your dad! You and your family are in our prayers.

So sorry to hear about your grandfather. Our thoughts are with you. We lost Tom's father a week ago.

Grandma pulled out the prayer shawl right away and she's wearing that at home.
