40 weeks (and some knitting content!)

This is the last photo I think I can bear to post. I weigh close to 50# more than I did in April and I can see it in this photo. But, it's definitely worth it.

Today is my due date, but little C will not be here today as confirmed by my check-up today. So, instead I will be making meatloaf, spinning some gorgeous pink Merino wool, getting my hair cut, and some Junior League errands. I feel good today, so I'm going to make the best of it. January 6th seems like a boring date for a birthday anyway.

Now that I have a photo, I also wanted to share my secret knitted Christmas gift for Brian. This is my first double-knit project, a scarf from "Son of Stitch n' Bitch." Both sides of the scarf are knit simultaneously. It features the Brooklyn Bridge in day on one side and night on the reverse. It's made from a silk-wool blend, which is already pilling, so he'll have to wear it with care.

Even though you may feel uncomfortable at this point...you look beautiful in that picture! You will be happy that you took that last shot.

When did you take that photo? You look really good. My cousin walked around dilated to 4 for weeks--I don't know which is more frustrating. Charlotte definately does not take after her mom since she is starting off her life being late, and you hate tardiness!

Tonight is our first childbirth class. I will be thinking of you while I am doing relaxation techniques and wishing it was YOU doing them tonight instead of me!

Kim, I took the photo on Sunday. I think it's so funny that you say that about Charlotte being late and me hating tardiness because I seriously considered commenting on how she was starting off on my bad side be being late. I am the queen of being early or on time!! Although, I don't know if I was actually born early or on time. Mom, can you please enlighten me?

As I've said before, Beautiful Lady in Waiting......I am so glad you posted one last picture. Don't forget to add it to you journal or baby book!

We've been in Mt Pleasant for 24 hours and we both had our cells ready at a moments dash. At least you may know the day now, and things will be moving soon. Maybe even sooner? You never know.

Ang, you look beautiful and are definitely glowing! I was thinking the same thing about Charlotte being late. :)
btw...your boobs are huge!! :)

Carrie, that is the only time in my life anyone would ever describe my boobs as "huge."

I also was going to compliment your boobs, but wasn't sure if your readership would be pleased. They are quite nice. Yay for you!!

The nurse suggested last night that for our second pregnancies, we lie to our friends and family about our due dates by adding a week or two so we are not constantly asked, "Have you had the baby yet??" At least people care about you!

Angie you look great! I'm so excited to hear how your birth experience goes and to meet Ms Charlotte.

All I can say is you will have to get used to being tardy with Charlotte...she is giving you practice now :-) Now to head somewhere 10 minutes away we starting getting ready to head out the door 20 minutes before. The picture is great!!! Now that I think back I wish I would have done a picture right at the end.
