Angie, are you Batman or Robin?TOK
TOK, with the proper shawl, I'm Batman.
It's looking great. I can see why he thought it was oak, it's got more patina than pine usually does. Maybe the age?
the pros actually said it's douglas fir based on the redness of the grain.i'm pretty excited for this to be finished, the basement is really cold.
Angie, Somewhere on my travels through the knitting net, I saw an actual "Bat Shawl" you could knit. The floors are looking better than mine. We are in the midst of a termite infestation and had to tear up part of the wood floor in our living room. What a mess.
Are you guys sleeping down there, too? You could always go to Mexico again.
Douglas Fir? Wow, if and when you do resell the house, you're going to get a lot of people in on that, not to mention the rest of your fix-ups. I can't wait to see it, maybe around tulip time.
Now THAT'S a floor! It is so much lighter than the first job! Dad and I can really appreciate all the time and effort!
Actually Patty, it's the natural color of the floor, unstained. Brian talked about keeping it light, but it really wouldn't blend with the rest of our woodwork.
