Happily Ever After...

Kim and Gary's wedding was a day to remember! The ceremony and reception were beautiful.

I loved that so many friends were there to play a role in the big day. The gang was all back together!! It was actually the first time that the entire group, with the new fiance Adam included, had been together. It was like de ja vous with David Bailey back on the piano. Amber was a sight for sore eyes. It was awesome to hear Brian sing solo. I've heard him play around singing Moondance with the Nick Ayoub trio, but this was the first time I heard him doing serious vocal work. It literally brought tears to my eyes.

We had a great time dancing at the reception, too.

Some of my favorite moments of the celebration:
1) Kim's father toasting that Gary is the kind of man you want your daughter to marry.
2) How beautful Kim's mom, Yvonne, was in her dress.
3) The photographer's keys getting locked in her truck...and the groomsmen hailing a tow truck to save the day.
4) Kim's not-so-"agreeable" interactions with the wedding coordinator, including the question as to whether she would be wearing a blusher veil.
5) Brian's plan to get a tattoo of an eagle on his back so that he could move his arms to make the wings flap.
6) Meredith's rendition of "I'm getting married in the morning," sung on a Red Vine.

Sorry to those of you who don't get those inside jokes above, but I know there are some out there who will really appreciate them. For those of you who feel left out....here's a knitting picture for you to enjoy.

Pretty cool, eh...knitting in an SUV limo!!

The pictures are great! We had such a wonderful time, but needed another day to recuperate! When I tell people "Ice Ice Baby" was going at 1 AM they weren't surprised we were so exhausted. Andrea wants to party all night like that too she says! You even caught Chuckalicious and I doing some moves!

Yvonnne's dress was gorgeous and I recognized the style and designer right away as my friend Shawn's favorite choice for her daughter's wedding too! Montage has quite the unmistakeable look to it.

I was surprised by the number of "lurkers" on this blog. All of you not commenting, I encourage you to do so.

Commenting is awesome and leads to a better life, filled with sunshine and a rainbow of marshmallow flavors.

DO IT!

And then go see action-squad for some hott action.

We had a great time too. All the girls looked great! I too enjoyed the dad's comments. Your parents were fun to talk to and Brian's also. Great folks
Angie --I am going to do the same socks with you and Amber. I think she has a pattern that I can copy. My pair is going to be shades of green. Can't wait to start them.

Love the pictures!!! Esp. the one of Mitch and Brian. Perfect husbands except they don't have eagle tattoos!

Oh Amber - Chuck and I would be very surprised by Brian sporting an eagle tatoo, even though he's an Eagle Scout! Woo hoo. I think he might have a thing against needles.

Yes, Shari, we did have a wonderful table especially since most of us had just met!

Yes, Patty Ann the booties were shakin with the butt song! This group really did some rockin into the wee hours.

I wish I knew more people I spent time with daily that knitted! We call one of the girls at work "amish girl" because she does a little bit of everything, but she mostly crochets these beautiful baby blankets! She promised to teach me!

Thank you for the beautiful posting!! I loved the photos! Amber, post yours when you get home so we can share them. My students will visit the blog and the slideshow tomorrow morning--I finally solved the dilema of what to do with all of the leftover wedding cake--my kids and I will be eating it tomorrow morning while watching the slideshow!

Thank you to all of you who celebrated with us--we were honored. To all of my college friends--you made my day. I wish I still saw you every day!

It's past my bedtime--I'm teaching tomorrow for my first day back.

Thanks again!!!

I have had many thoughts about the wedding since I posted last weekend. This is not MY blog and you all haven't logged on to hear all of my rambling thoughts, so I just have one more thought to share: I am delighted that all four of us have found such perfect, amazing men to marry. I had this thought while looking at the photo of Brian and Mitch on this blog with my kids in school (one of my little boys I'm sure is your newest "lurker") and also when I saw a gorgeous photo of Meredith and Adam that someone gave me. How did we get so lucky to add 4 such nice guys to our group? I am still blissful after the wedding, I suppose!

The most frequently asked question of the week is: How is married life? The answer: great, but we feel like it's time for me to go home! It is feeling like I finally live with Gary!

I can't wait to see house photos! Let me know when the move-in work/party is!
